Event Description

I will be presenting a detailed PowerPoint presentation with Attorney Frank Karam and Attorney Jerry Karam at the Towanda Fire Hall addressing royalty deduction issues, including the "Market Enhancement Clause" and other royalty calculation language.

We believe that Chesapeake, and potentially other gas companies, are taking improper royalty "deductions" or post-production costs from landowner's royalty checks.  These "deductions" can be substantial and continue to grow with each royalty payment.

Attend the Towanda Seminar to learn more about improper royalty deductions and potential claims against gas companies for improper royalty payments.

There are several issues that come to mind that I wonder if future seminars might address:

1) Who checks the production numbers to be certain that the reported production volumes are correct?

2)Who calibrates/recalibrates the meters used and on what schedule?

3) Who has oversight on the meter calibration?

4)Where are our legislators in making sure that the county/municipalities are getting their proper share of the reported production volumes?

5) Is there a fraud being perpetrated by CHK in claiming to sell its gas to a wholly owned subsidiary and then charging the landowner for gathering/transportation/fuel deductions because they claim that is what they(CHK) are being charged?

6)Where is our Attorney General in all of this?Shouldn't his office be investigating?

Thanks for doing what you are doing.

This is exactly what needs to be examined. Unfortunately I'm out of town at the time scheduled, otherwise I'd certainly be there.

Kristina thank you for your interest in the seminar subject material.  At this time we are not disseminating any information online except for the archived radio shows Doug has recorded and blogs he has written that are available on our websites.
