Event Description

On May 27, 2015 the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the US army Corps of Engineers (USACE) announced the publication of the Final “Waters of the US” rule.   This new rule encompasses more than 1,000 pages of technical data and describes the methods and means for identifying the extent of Federal “Waters of the US” jurisdiction.  There are many significant changes in the final rule that were not mentioned in the original proposed rule.

To help you quickly get up to speed on all of the changes, updates, and modifications presented in the Final rule, the Swamp School has prepared a regulatory update webinar scheduled for July 9, 2015 at 1 PM EST.
This webinar will present an overview of the major aspects of the Final rule including:

  • How the 100 year floodplain is used to establish jurisdiction
  • The 4,000 foot offset rule
  • When are ditches jurisdictional
  • What is a puddle
  • Categorical Significant Nexus
  • The new 400+ page USACE/EPA technical support document
  • Important new rule definitions
  • Jurisdictional designated wetland habitats
  • Plus much more!

No matter what industry you are in, this webinar is important to attend.  The extent of Federal jurisdiction of US waters impacts anyone who works, owns or operates anywhere in the US.  Waters are everywhere and you need to know how these new rules will affect you.

Join us online on July 9, 2015 from 1 PM – 3 PM EST.
