Activity in Monroe County, WV?

Our family's been in the oil & gas b'ness (both E&P) for over 100 years, and we're currently involved in the Haynesville, Bossier and Bakken gas plays.

The rector (pastor) of my church has consulted me in respect of his offer of $50/acre bonus/rental for 5 years and 1/8th royalty on acreage in Monroe County, WV.

Any news of activity in this area?

tell him to seek a lawyer and research a couple of land groups
he should be getting anywhere from 2500 to 30000 an acre and 18-28%

and if they run pipes that is a seperate lease
