American Natural Gas Alliance

How effective do you believe the natural gas industry is having in penetrating policy makers? I think they are struggling, though I'd be interested in other's thoughts.

well they certainly are effective in preventing PA lawmakers from protecting PA citizens. The law to qualify the "rule of capture" and see that landowners are compensated for gas on their property was killed in committee last year and has yet to be reintroduced...though Sandra Majors in the PA house has said she will reintroduce it.

The gas industry must have lobbied ($$) the legislature to kill it in committee.

I think they are making strides in raising awareness of the benefits and usefulness of natural gas to the US. Takes time.
