They have been gone for couple years now. They drilled few wells in muskingum, western guernsey, and western noble counties. As far as I know they have no future plans for their acreage...
Why are they not selling there acreage they have leases then? I am in Sharon twp. Noble county,Ohio, they have everything around me leased. They leased a bunch of ground in Nov. 2011 with a 5 year lease.
Don't know. Maybe they plan on coming back at some point? Anadarko is a huge company and probably have bigger fish to fry.
Good point. They spent a lot of money to lease the acreage, I can't see them just letting the leases run out. I figure they well either drill or sell to recover some of the money, but time is ticking. I guess we will see.

To give you an idea of the size of APC they're planning a massive LNG plant along with offshore drilling in Mozambique that will cost an estimated $16,000,000,000 (more than the GDP of that country) and their share of the cost is roughly $4,200,000,000.  They estimate their offshore blocks hold between 50-70 TCF of recoverable gas.  The Ohio Utica capex thus far is basically a rounding error in their accounting.

For whatever it's worth:
Anadarko still has an office in Chandlersville.
Their AEP acreage(Muskingum, Perry, Guernsey, Noble and Morgan) is a 10plus year lease.
I believe I read their CEO stated they were content to sit on the acreage and see watch what others in the industry do.(I assume Frac technique etc)
I heard they may be working on some ROW title work in Northern Morgan.
Artex is drilling 3 Roserun wells on their Perry County acreage. FREC
