Any good or positive dealings with Chesapeake in Eastern Ohio?

Are there any good or positive dealings with Chesapeake or any other company in Eastern Ohio?

Cheapeake is fracking a well across the road from me. Pretty much what I expected so far, a lot of dust and speed issues. They will act if prompted but don't expect them to do anything over the bare minimum.

We are due to go into production in April, I am hoping we have no issues, our lease is a good one, really pretty straightforward. I was and am told it is the best you can hope for as far as landowner friendly terms, gross/no deductions and all.

We'll see, although right now I am begging them to not put the unit in production until we see higher pricing for the product, which probably wont happen until after president chickenwing leaves office.

DAVID

seams you don't know much about chk  doesn't matter what your lease says. get ready to be ripped off.

I had one good experience, they paid 5850 an acre for sighing bonus, renewal  is up in less than a year. I am hoping they don't renew. good luck.

And thank you for starting the thread, although the problem is I fear that once folks start getting royalties they disappear from the site never to be seen of heard from again.

If you are unfamiliar with Chesapeake Energy, do a search Nation wide, Texas to Pennsylvania and see what they think. Also go to propublica.org and see what they have been saying about CHK as far back as 2005.

Take a look at the below complaints to see examples of how Ohio & PA landowners have been treated by CHK.

No one has been paid for Natural Gas Liquids to date in Ohio. Total E&P paid us for their 25% share of our well products but Chesapeake kept the money from the landowners.

I figure they didn't want us to know how much money they were going to owe us when we found out they have been taking our NGLs free and not paying a royalty based on fair market value all these years.

I found out with my first royalty check in 2014. $56 a month per acre in Feb 2014 was obvious theft.

Dave,

Check out these filings in OH & PA. It's the same from Texas to PA & every shale play CHK is in.

Dave,

Now I'm adding a file one per post, this should work.

Now the site is not allowing any files to be attached.

Must be the weather today.

The above documents should tell you what the landowners under production are now aware of.

Do you have the gas and oil?

They say we only have the dry gas here in this county.

It sounds like the dry gas alone does not pay much.

We were approached by Chesapeake about having a pad put on our property.

It is a small farm and the placement of the pad just about ruins the farm and projected laterals will only cover 1/2 or less of the farm.

Yes Dave, I am told the wells out here produce very well on both oil and gas.

I hope your lease terms reward you handsomely if you have to give them acreage to put a pad on yer property.
