Craig,

You must have had the same knucklehead Government teacher my #2 son had. I went round and round with him a few years ago over the fact that the USA is a Representative Republic, not a Democracy as he had been teaching our kids. I told him that he was not qualified to teach my kids if he didn't know the difference. Needless to say, we are NOT the best of buddies.

Thank you Finnbear.  Not many people know, nor care, about the difference.  If we had a true democracy, think about how much more power the lamestream media would have in our country!

Guys, Is there such a thing as a true democracy. Not looking for an argument here.Was only trying to state that the Members of this group will speak"vote" soon enough. I spent nearly twenty years overseas working and living in various countries, some good some bad. In my opinion there is no better place to live and work than the USA.

There is such a thing as a true democracy and you don't want it here. A true democracy equates to mob rule and as Kevin mentioned, the mainstream media would in effect be the government with their ability to mold and shape the opinions of the un(der)informed masses.

Our Representative Republic form of government is as good as it gets in the world we live in.

CHK has shown it's stretched financially by calling in France's Total.....You see these nat gas prices?  Until we build a LNG terminal on the east coast, these prices could stay low a long time...

 

Chevron notified me that they intend to drill Somerset county PA in Q2....well, I'll believe it when I see it...I told my relative that Chevron is attempting to hold by production and won't do much with this well until prices firm big time.

well baby drill, have you been living on Mars for the last six months?.....Of course that's what's going on.

 

I have a gas producing property that's not shale related in western PA and this low gas price is killing me big time...though I have 170 acres of shale property, I hate the Marcellus right now.

Chartist,

 What is obvious to you and your neighbors in Pennsylvania may not be so obvious to many in Ohio.  There is no need for your insulting comments "... living on Mars ...".

 

So, try to be nice, OK?

 

 There are farmers in Ohio that are just now learning about signing an Oil & Gas lease because Cheaspeake will be drilling on or near their farm. They work hard on their land every day. They do not have Cell Phones. they do not have computers. They do not read these forums.

When you start getting into these large groups it more times than not backfires on the group.  They many times will add acres simply to add them.  So you end up with a group that is spread out, HBP, or just simply to large for many companies to wrap their heads around.  In my opinion anything over 4 or 5,000 acres is to big.
