The Chevrolet Volt concept car was unveiled at the January 2007 North American International Auto Show, becoming the first-ever series plug-in hybrid concept car shown by a major manufacturer.
The production design model officially unveiled on September 16, 2008, as part of General Motors centennial celebration at the Wintergarden headquarters in Detroit.[25] The production model differed greatly in design from the original concept car.
GM and the Chevy Volt turned up three “7s” on the Congressional slot machine. First, automakers got the $25 billion in low interest government loans. Second, the Wall Street bailout will likely help the beleaguered auto industry. Third, plug-in tax credits have now been signed into law.
The now passed by the House and signed by Bush $700 Billion Wall Street bailout bill had a few congressional “sweeteners” in it to help get it passed after failing for the first time in the House earlier in the week.
Don't blame O'Bama. You teabaggers should get this straight. It was Bush!

Blaming "behavior" is a sign of weakness, its also a clear indication of maturity, respect for others, and the ability to accept responsibility for ones own actions. It's a learned behavior and sometimes difficult to break free of.
The one thing you never heard President Bush do is cry like a baby, (obama) repeat things like a parrot (obama) Lie, (obama) and "Blame".
All signs of weakness.
Permalink Reply by Jim Shoos on March 23, 2012 at 2:08pm Schnoozie... right... Bush had nothing to cry about. He inherited an economy hitting on all cylinders, budget surpluses, not deficits. A trade imbalance that wasn't the "trainwreck" that it became when Bush left town. Bush is the moron that decided he needed to teach Saddam Hussein a lesson for making his daddy look bad, 10 years and trillions of dollars later, what do we have to show for our efforts... lots of dead and maimed American soldiers and more political instability in Iraq than existed when Saddam was running it. Oh, and best of all... where were the WMD"s. Oh poor Iraq... Saddam gassed a few Kurds. The numbers of Iraqi's killed by their own people now is one hundred fold what Saddam did during his entire tenure. I didn't care for the guy but he did have a handle on maintaining stability. What a horrible joke the whole Iraq experience has been... makes Vietnam look pale by comparison.

Permalink Reply by Schnoozie on March 23, 2012 at 4:52pm The "Volt" is nothing but an ad-campaign designed to please and give warm and fuzzy feelings to a certain voting base that favors Democrats, end of story.
They are not selling for a reason.

Permalink Reply by Jasper Johnson on August 6, 2012 at 3:01pm hey moron, when you plug your Volt into the wall to recharge the lithium battery, where does that electricity come from? NOT from "green" energy - hydro, wind, solar. It comes from COAL and NATURAL GAS. Go back to your Starbucks in NJ or NY, or Maine or Vermont.
Permalink Reply by Elnathan Cory on March 23, 2012 at 2:25pm Poorly run and backed by Bush! Unstoppable at that point!

You Sir are on living in the past, and you forget, or just can't seem to grasp that Clintons presidency was propelled forward by the hard work and innovation of the Citizens of this great land, not the government, going to work everyday hitting it as hard as they could. An economy that was absolutely roaring, that's right on fire pal every day. Oh he loves to take credit for it. loves to. Just ask him. The loyal party Dems just love to use it as an example of what to do. All of us did well back then, technology would not be where it is today if we did not grow and progress, back then. Back then wont help us now. O-man is O-U-T because he did nothing. Clinton and Bush did not restrict like O-man has, business from growing, (for votes) stifle growth, (for votes), retsriction of freedom, (for votes), divide people, (for votes) raise our debt. (for votes), and give away our our economy, (for votes). Mistreat our allies, (for votes), manipulate the media, (for votes) O-man is a walking ad-campaign for failure.

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
