How long will Consol Energy continue to be part coal company?

Coal prices are dropping.  How will investors view Consol Energy being a coal producing company?  Is being a coal producer causing investors to invest elsewhere?

As long as there is coal in the ground.  Power companies are not foolish enough to switch totally to natural gas and be held hostage to a single source of energy to power their generating turbines.  Consol shed their most costly mines and union retirement accounts, but kept those mines that are profitable.  The gas boom will not last forever and a smart energy company will diversify their energy resources.  Coal prices are dropping but gas prices are going to continue to drop as more Marcellus/Utica wells come online.
