For the "Gas Drilling Truth Channel" there is precious little material. Three or four people complaining about drilling, maybe they have a valid complaint and maybe they don't. One woman's face is shadowed out, another man makes a reference to something being built without being engineered, but the structure is not shown. People who are getting big royalty checks don't care if the land is raped, etc. The only well I could distinguished appeared to me to be an oil well. One man's complaint was about the noise, the source of which was not exactly made clear but it was implied it had it had something to do with the gas companies. Is this the level of dialogue we are going to have?
Dear Greg and Terry, Unfortunately there is a great deal of partial. sometimes inaccurate info about. To get a mostly unbiased review I've turned to Penn.State.University for their take on what's going on. Find the blog "Aquifer Contamination" on this site for discussions and web site info.

Daniel - do you have the link? PSU site has tons of blogs. Searched "aquifer" and no matches came back.

For the antidrilling bunch truth is of little value, they're more concerned how they can put the spin on drilling to make it all seem like gloom and doom! When it comes to proving they're stories they can't seem to come up with facts or proof, they use stories like what you have stated above as they're proof.thats why we need to be as vocal as they are to spread the truth about drilling! i do believe there can be problems, as with any industry there will be problems, but spreading lies, to further they're anti cause, only hurts people financially that may need lease money or royalty money to save losing their house, car, pay for a childs college, and hurt our state economically! They need to look past their own selfish interest!
Boy, I do agree with this. There are several people who are becoming very greedy even in my area(Lycoming county, penn township)because one gets more money than they other. Whats up with this?We all should be happy for each other, and for the good of the country. This is a gift from God, and no one gets it. Sometimes Ameicans can be so selfish, could that explain whats going on in the world? Maybe!
Dear Bonnie, As you suggest, we need to look out for each other. That one of our neighbors has good fortune, wonderful. But we need to help our neighbors to not do the wrong thing by ignoring the concerns that those of us who are less fortunate have to face. Our fortunate neighbors need to look out for their neighbors by making sure that the water and land is protected from careless handling. Make all the money you can, great, but don't do it at the expense of the rest of us. Those who are fortunate have a moral obligation to lend their weight for responsible mining that doesn't leave the land and neighbors in a poorer state than before. The gift of good fortune does come from God, but the greed that you speak of does not come from God, but from the Other. The challenge for those now under attack is to recognize the source of their wrong thinking, and to fight it. For this they need to rely upon their clergy and honest neighbors.
