Liberal documentary filmmaker Michael Moore threatened to begin fracking off the Florida coast near President Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort.

His tweet appeared to be a response to a new administration proposal to increase offshore drilling for natural gas.

"Our fracking off the coast of Mar-a-Lago begins right after Labor Day," Moore said in a tweet referencing his upcoming TNT documentary series "Live From the Apocalypse." "I’ve already got the rig — a beautiful Halliburton G-0008 fracking system with a monster Caterpillar engine!"

"Here’s our fracker! We’ll be drilling right off the coast of Mar-a-Lago," Moore continued. "God Bless You Donald Trump for making this possible! The oil we drill just off your beach will pay 4 our entire show!"
Moore, a relentless Trump critic and liberal activist, targeted the president's luxury Palm Beach resort, a favorite vacation spot for the president. Florida is on a list of states that could see new drilling off their coastlines under a new proposal by Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke.

The plan would open up drilling rights sales for companies on much of North America's continental shelf in coastal areas near Alaska, California and Florida, which would be a boon to the fossil fuel industry.

I heard that Paul has signed on to Michael Moore's crew

lol

So Mike Moore has already been to a BLM lease auction and received the lease? He also is going to drop ship a land unit onto a drilling platform? He also is confident that Oil & Gas is off shore at the exact location. Sabre rattling by a monumental idiot.

Just reveals his ignorance by this.  Even if the feds allowed drilling off Florida, he would have to have obtained an oil and gas lease.  With a lease in hand, it would take an experienced company 1-2 years to get the permits to drill offshore.  Michael Moore probably could not get it done in his remaining life.

Only leftists are fooled by or moved by nonsense like this. Michael Moore has eaten more shrimp than BP has ever killed, and smells twice as bad.

I hope he does it as it may just save the sea turtles.

You see, baby sea turtles emerge from the sand every year and the first thing they do is head for the water.  They do so by looking for the stars as brush along the shore blocks the stars so the stars lead them to the water.  In areas where sea turtles lay their eggs people are not allowed to have lights that are visible from the sea.

If we would just build a line of drilling rigs about a half mile offshore, their lights would help the little baby turtles get to the water and thus save an endangered species!
