I drove up to the anadarko well at campsite k on consol land yesterday. They are laying a pipeline from the well so it must be a completed well. This well is just south of cumberland in Noble county. Does anyone know how productive this well is? I am interested in any information.

Was at the consol site a couple weeks ago, they were hauling in sand on that day. Should be fracked by now but have not heard any numbers.
Have heard nothing but good news now coming from the well in Monroe, after all of the trouble they had. Also hearing good news from the ones in Noble, but no numbers on any of them.
No rig when I drove by yesterday (Sat, 2/18), just a crane. I did see they were laying a pipeline and was wondering if that meant it was producing.
Permalink Reply by WLW on February 19, 2012 at 6:23pm The site was marked out for 6 hole but only one has been drilled. You can see the large well head in the center of the pad, its bright red. The rig has moved onto the site on county road 9. It is set up and drilling. They were continuing to build a pad on the opposite side of the road. Have to assume its for the fracking equipment.
The HG rig has moved off of the Whitacre at the Monroe county site and the well head can been seen in the center of the pad. On this one, it is bright yellow.
Checked them out today. Thought the site on Noble county 75 would have the smaller rig they used on county 9 setting the casing. But the pad was empty. They may have moved up to Muskingum county on one of those pads. There are 2 that I am aware of.
I heard a rumor today from someone who lives not too far from there that it was a literal gusher. I don't typically like to spread unsubstantiated rumor, but if this is true, it is great news for folks in Noble and Morgan counties.

I heard today that CHPK drilled two wells that may be too far west.
The oil is too thick - too immature?
They are not happy.
Details to follow ...
In another thread on GOM someone else stated that in South East Ohio (however that is defined) they found Dry Gas where they expected Wet Gas. And that driller was not happy.
This does not add up.
The Thick Oil well pushes the immature oil border EAST - not good new for "western" counties
The Dry Gas well pushes the Wet Gas border WEST - which is good news for "western" counties.
How can both be true in "South East" Ohio unless it goes very quickly from Dry Gas to Immature Oil without much Wet Gas in between - not good news for anybody.

Can you name your source for that news? I am not doubting your information but I would like to do some research on this story and I need a starting point. Thanks.

Clearly it would be advantageous for a land owner to lease only the formation that is to be drilled and renegotiate for other formations based upon demand and new technology.

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
