PA gubernatorial candidate Wolf throws portions of NEPA under bus

Tom Wolf, candidate for PA governor, is on the record as favoring out-of-state interests and priorities over those of the people he is wanting to lead.  In particular, he gives weight to NY and NJ viewpoints regarding drilling, and gives the back of his hand to hard hit areas of NEPA.  Wolf's high concern for NY and NJ, and his disdain for NEPA interests, should surprise nobody.  Wolf is, after all, far more like them than he is like us!!  To candidate Wolf, NG-producing regions of our Commonwealth are his personal cash cows!

Here is the transcript of a Wolf interview:

Q: Do you support the statewide moratorium on fracking that was adopted by the Pennsylvania Democratic Party?
A: Wolf does not support the statewide moratorium on drilling adopted by the state Democratic Party. But he does support a continued moratorium in the Delaware River Basin.
"If localities don't want drilling, we need to recognize and respect that," he said. "The Delaware River Basin represents people in the [four states] who appointed them. We need to be cognizant of the fact that there are more interests involved than just Pennsylvania."

the biggest thing against wolf is the same thing all democrats have to face up to, their silence in the face of the most lawless corrupt administration in American history. no democrat can separate themselves from that.

No disagreement, gary.

But this is a place for discussion of matters relating to Marcellus NG, and now also Utica minerals as well.  I thought is was important to make other PA participants here aware of Wolf's leanings in that regard, and of his cavalier and totally uncaring attitude when it comes to some Pennsylvania mineral owners.  Wolf is completely comfortable that certain regions of this Commonwealth have become "little New Yorks".  Yet he is running for Governor of Pennsylvania.  The man is totally out of touch with Pennsylvania values and concerns.

Gary, many participants here are landowners who are "in the shale".  We have become accustomed to a certain measure of respect, in the past, from both political parties.  And I emphasize BOTH!.  Governor Corbett has treated us well, but so did Governor Rendell!

If some participant here did not like Governor Rendell, I'm sorry.  When it came to NG, he was OK.  The important thing to remember right now is that Wolf is not Rendell.  Not at all.  Wolf will not, for example as Rendell did, stand up to the environmental extremists inside his own party.  Wolf is far more like Obama than Rendell ever was.  Should Wolf be elected, the fat lady will have sung for us.  We will be in trouble!

tom wolf loves pa oil and gas like o.j. loved nicole

Governor Rendell stood up for NG drilling in Pennsylvania.  Governor Corbett also has stood up for, and has done his best to defend, NG drilling here.

If the Governor of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania does NOT stand up for NG drilling all across Pennsylvania, who will defend our interests.  Does Tom Wolf think Governor Christie, of New Jersey, will be for us?  Does he believe Governor Cuomo, of New York, will be for us?  Those two men do not even defend the landowners of their own states for goodness sake!!

If the Governor of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania does not stand up for us, and defend us against the environmental lunatics, and back us against other adversaries as well, then nobody will!

Any person who cares more about the concerns of New Jersey and New York, than about our concerns and interests here in Pennsylvania, should run for office in New Jersey or in New York . . . not here!
