Has there been any drilling activity in Cambria County, PA.  I have 25 acres on the Clearfield/Cambria border not far from Glendale lake.  It's my understanding that there is a proposed pipeline to transport gas in the near future.  I know there has been some shallow stuff being drilled.

Good morning. I also own some acreage in Cambria County and was wondering if there is any type of activity in this area. Facts seem to be hard to come by and I would surely appreciate any help/insight as to this matter. Thank you very much.

I was born in Johnstown, PA.

Carrizo, 1000 Louisiana St, Houston, TX 77002 and Chevron Appalachia, PO Box 611, Coraopolis, PA 15108 are both drilling horizontal wells in the vicinity of Glendale lake.

From the GPS coordinates:

Chevron is on St Augustine Road SE of 1019 (Loop Road)

Carrizo is due E of the intersection of 53 and 253

I'm originally from Patton area in Cambria County, not too far from the lake.  Don't live anywhere near there now, in any event, I met with Carrizo earlier this year at an investment bank meeting, they indicated that the "C" counties in PA were not the most attractive in their eyes as they did not have the best rock - The "C" counties being Cambria, Centre, etc.  I believe they fell under the cut offs, for hydrocarbons in place.
