I am still waiting to hear from anyone with any information about Statoil.  Apparently they have taken over leases from D.A.C.  I have not been notified officially, but am told that it is a done deal.  Would appreciate any information.

I think a takeover of leases by Statoil should be viewed as a positive. When asked directly whether the company intends to deduct large "marketing" amounts from the royalty checks of landowners, they have stated that it's their policy and belief that landowners should be treated fairly. They have a 30% interest in some of Chesapeake's shale holdings. I have seen one example of their royalty payment on such a lease. I'll try to locate the specifics for you and post it here. When I do, take a look at the vast difference between how Statoil treats the landowner and "the Chesapeake way".

I questioned a person this week with business ties to D. A. C. and was told that D. A. C. is still drilling and doing leases.  Apparently the leases of D. A. C. that transferred to Statoil were ones that were in a joint venture with Grenadier Energy Partners.  So it is possible that your lease did not go to Statoil and is still with  D. A. C.

lol I saw a D. A. C. truck at a red light in Wetzel Co. this week.

Thanks everyone.  I found out more in a couple hours than I did in 2 months.

Mr. Moore,

I found those numbers on royalty receipts from the guy whose well is controlled jointly by 3 companies.  Look at how Statoil treated him more fairly than the other two.  Can you imagine what a difference in income this makes to an individual landowner over time ?  "Reply by Tom R
My most recent checks were for August production. I have the infamous "Market Enhancement Clause" in my lease so can't really give an official "at the wellhead" price but here are the numbers I have,
Chesapeake gross $2.99/mcf  net $2.23
Anadarko     gross $2.90/mcf  net $2.15
Statoil (no ded. taken) $3.044 (yes, the statement does show the 1/10's of a cent) "

Was anyone getting Royalty payments from Grenadier Energy? I have inherited mineral rights in Wetzel County - Clay and Center district DAC leases - however never received any Royalty Payments from Grenadier Energy after the pooling of units. Need contact info. if anyone has it. Currently working with Statoil in getting current on Royalty payments since they took over.
