I heard that ODNR is working on new mapping that moves the wet gas boundary to the eastern 1/3 of Belmont county. The western 2/3 of the county will show as definitely in the wet gas area.

Our activities include visits with legislators, meetings with state agencies, providing legislative testimony during bill and rules making hearings and connecting our members with their legislators. We also cooperate with various other public interest groups such as the Ohio Environmental Council.OFU’s 2011 state and national policy document is discussed and ratified at our state convention each January.

OFU also assists Ohio farmers in participating in programs such as the National Carbon Credit Program which rewards farmers who put carbon into the soil – taking the greenhouse gas out of the atmosphere. At the national and state levels, cooperation has also come to embrace the consumer more and more over the years.

Now see what there buddies advocate on fracking!

Is that why I can't make sense of the timeline here?

Until the ODNR releases the updated map here is the 2006 map in the form of a Google Earth map layer.  We can update the map ourselves when the production numbers start to come in next month.

Philip, is there a simmilar map of the dry, wet and oil for the marcellus that can be overlayed?

thanks.

Here is one that I made this morning.  The alignment is not perfect.  It is tricky to get a large flat map to stretch around a globe.  I can make map layers out of any image.  if you find any high resolution map online send me the location and I will post it on the Eastern Ohio well map via Google Earth thread.

these older maps show an opprotunity in Belmont county to find wet marcellus and wet utica from the same pad.

Hopefully in eastern Guernsey county as well!
