What is the going price for a barrel of CONDENSATE ? compared to crude oil..

It seems the Canadians.. need a LOT of it....

Texas "crude" seems to be 60% plus of condensate ..  of production   !!

and CONDENSATE is going to be allowed to sell over seas.....

so it seems Condensate is the "sleeper"  oil value...

Condensate sells at a $10-12 discount to WTI.  It has traded at a $20 discount before and with export could potentially trade at a discount as low as $7.  So there are some variables.

In other words.... if a barrel of oil sells for $80....

condensate could sell for $70 or $60...

So its still a good price per barrel

Condensate is natural gasoline,correct?

It used to be called that, yes.  It's just a very high gravity oil, usually 45 degrees or higher.  Its best use is as a diluent for heavy crude blending.

Thank you Dexter!
