When will it come to North Belmont Co.

We are coming up on the 3rd year of our lease with XTO.  Global was here last summer with the sensors and "thumper trucks". We were part of a large group that signed in 2011. We are in Colerain Twp., Belmont Co. Any idea when drillers will be coming here. A neighbor had a co. with a proposed pipeline going across their property but have not seen anything from them for 6 months.

You should contact Rice Energy at 100 Main St., St. Clairsville.  Excellent company.  Main focus is Utica shale and Green/Washington counties PA Marcellus/Utica.  They also work closely with Gulfport Energy in Belmont.  Rice is operated by a father and his three sons; all geologists.  Best well is their Bigfoot 9-H in Belmont - - best in the Utica ! !

I see Hess has  drill pad completed east of cadiz in harrisville area. I see where Hess has marked off property on grays ridge road top of hill between maynard and crescent road off of Rt 250 . They have a well permitted in colerain township also. I think they are trying to define Wet/ Dry gas line. I have 15 months left with chk and have seen no activity near from them. Hope this helps.

Daniel J. Rice III has served as a member of our board of directors since October 2013. He has also served as Managing General Partner of Rice Partners. Since January 2013, Mr. Rice has served as Lead Portfolio Manager for GRT Capital’s energy division. From 2005 to December 2012, Mr. Rice served as a Managing Director and Portfolio Manager for BlackRock, Inc. and was a member of BlackRock, Inc.’s Global Resources team, responsible for Small Cap and All Cap Energy funds. Prior to joining BlackRock, Inc. in 2005, he was a Senior Vice President and Portfolio Manager at State Street Research & Management, responsible for the Small Cap Energy and All Cap Energy Global Resources Funds. Prior to joining State Street Research in 1984, he was a Vice President and Portfolio Manager with Fred Alger Management. Derek A. Rice
Vice President of Exploration & Geology

Derek A. Rice has served as Rice Energy’s Vice President of Exploration & Geology since 2009 and is responsible for geologic and geophysical interpretations. Prior to joining Rice Partners and Rice Energy in August 2009, from June 2007 to September 2007 and from June 2008 until September 2008, he worked as a wellbore geologist for a large oilfield service company, where he analyzed the Marcellus, Haynesville, and Barnett shales. Derek Rice holds a BS in geological sciences from Tufts University and a MS in geology from the University of Houston. He is the son of Daniel J. Rice III and the brother of Daniel J. Rice IV and Toby Rice.

John P. LaVelle has served as Rice Energy’s Vice President of Drilling since February 2010 and manages its drilling and operations facets. From February 1994 until February 2010, Mr. LaVelle was president of Geological Engineering Services, Inc., a drilling and completion engineering consulting company specializing in unconventional reservoirs like the Marcellus Shale. He also has two years of practical engineering experience with Western Company of North America, a major oilfield services company and from March 1984 until February 1994 served as petroleum engineer and senior engineer with Snyder Brothers, Inc., an Appalachian-based E&P company. He has almost 30 years of Appalachian Basin experience. Mr. LaVelle received a BS degree in geological engineering from South Dakota School of Mines and Technology in 1980.

Jide Famuagun
Vice President of Production

Jide Famuagun has served as our Vice President of Production since January 2014 after serving as a Production Systems Manager since joining Rice Energy in 2012. Prior to joining Rice Energy, Mr. Famuagun served as Chief Metallurgist and founder of OST Inc., an international oilfield recycling service company, was a Senior Engineer with the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality and worked in the drilling group of Halliburton (ESG). Mr. Famuagun holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Oklahoma and an MBA in Engineering Management from Oklahoma Christian University.
