"Yellow Creek Theatre of Poland, Ohio to show Truthland?"

People of the shale!

Frack Tshirts, popcorn, Frack wine and a premier showing of "Truthland" at the Yellow Creek Theatre?  Does this sound like a great "Gig" or what?  Hell! this can be the next GMS party, and because the land is private, we can "evict" any anti frackers, "No movie for you!"  And my Jazz ensemble can grove before the movie, playing "Frack me up" ala the "Start me up" Rolling Stones.

  What bothers me is you trying to by any means shut down the best, cleanest, and economical energy source we have. As having delivered propane I have seen those on fixed incomes sacrifice in order to heat their homes.  I have seen first hand the hardships of eastern Ohio and want to see these people and their children advance.

   Now what should bother you is your conscience! Your very quick to point a finger in your fear mongering but look at reality .  This is the reality:

Any person who intends to construct a water well in the Commonwealth must first secure a Water-Well Driller's License and a Drilling Rig Permit, unless it is on land owned or leased by the person drilling the well for farming or is his/her residence. Does using a licensed driller insure my well will be properly constructed? 
Unfortunately it does not. Drillers are NOT required to demonstrate knowledge of proper drilling or well construction practices in order to become licensed. Pennsylvania has developed construction standardsonly for public water-supply wells. There are no statewide construction standards for domestic supply wells. Visit the DEP web page on private wells for more information. Also, check with your township or county government for applicable local ordinances.   With that being said how in the H can anyone be pointing a finger?

People are hurting everywhere. Natural gas isn't going to save them. It will some people out but not the majority. Clean? No way is it clean. You call me fear mongoring, I call you false flag waiving, but the facts are here.

Name a few fuels that are economically available, in abundant supply, as clean that is reliable 24/7, you can't!

  I have been to coal burning power plants, even nuclear,  and have been to numerous gas turbine facilities personally. The difference is night and day when it comes to the environment. You can scar the mountain tops with windmills that do not work 24/7, you can tear up tillable land in the hundreds of acres and cannot even match the low environmental impact of natural gas power generation!

Was that well tested before drilling? I've known I've had methane in my water since I moved here and it was confirmed when my water was tested. Methane can happen without drilling. So many reports are out there over and over saying the 1.6 million fracking wells have been safe. That's a lot of wells.
I had no idea how disruptive strip mining was and what a joke reclaiming is until I moved to my present home. First the endless noise, the shock waves blowing through my home, rattling the pictures on the walls(I could actually see the waves) while the coal co said I live more than 500 ft away so tough, my water completely changed since i guess due to all that blasting we are now on a new water vein, loss of ALL the trees and what they did to the land to get to this coal. The difference is night and day from what my area looked like before they stripped and after. Now it is barren land no one would buy until the Utica was known, the stupid looking mounds there used to be rolling land with trees. Everyone knows you can't put a house on land like that with a basement for 10 years. I am talking hundreds and hundres of acres here not 10 or even 100. My road was over used but of course the coal co got all there money back from the county. My neighbor lost his well for three years since he did not have thousands to fix it and again what did that coal co say, tough luck you are further than 500 feet. They lugged water for years. A new well was ordered to be put in by some official in columbus From an out of state driller, but is it even listed on the water wells section of the state, nope cause IMO this state and others hide from the general public how horrible strip mining is since it employees people, but it seems so many are screaming about a process that no one can prove actually caused any issues except maybe a surface spill which happens in any industry moving a lot of liquids.
I'm now living around fracking and it's been nothing but fascinating.
I would never back anything I think hurts our land or families and after reading report after report from gas and oil officials, collage professors and landowners I'm confident this is the the best way to get our energy of the future. Coal is dirty, the process of getting is harmful to the environment, landowner and wildlife.

On balance, I believe the shale revolution is a must for our country. I cannot agree that NG is a bad play. The positives far outweigh any potential problems.

There is a broken link David. Anyway, I disagree that the positives outweigh the negatives as we haven't seen all the negatives yet. At time goes on and the casings begin to fail, and frack fluid is pushed to the aquafers, then we will realize the full effects, but that is a difficult concept to argue with oeple who don't care because money is coming in now.

The whole part of this thread was to talk about Truthlands credability and everyone here is deflecting from the glaring truths that the film is the same bullshit it is acusing Gasland of being.

Seems like "Truthland" either lost its steam or is about to bust out with its mojo.

Have not heard anything lately from any of the producers or promotors, hope this is not the case.  Nonetheless, drilling and fracking seem not to gain much attention from the public as much, it could be that the majority of the population, now is in acceptance of this new technology in energy harvest.

   You look so innocent, docile and professional on the drums. Who would have thought that you are in fact a dangerous criminal polluting the pristine environment of eastside Youngstown with your horrible shrimp-farming endeavor? It's no wonder the municipal authorities of Y-town found it necessary to shackle you, toss you in the can with other "perps", then assign you to a probation officer! 

  Fortunately for all of us, the Youngstown establishment stepped in and rescued us from a potential job-creating business venture in a location where we all know new jobs are a dime-a-dozen! What can these guys be thinking?!?

Then you could go defunct bankrupt it then let them have. it does not seem reality abounds
