Nick why do you think you missed the boat? I thought you were in the bertovic unit? We have a division order but no check yet. My girl got a check and some other neibors did but we are still waiting. Will keep you updated when ever I here anything.
No division orders..... But thank you for any additional info.

I hate to say it, but I know it is nice to finally get some royalties. Don't get your hopes too

high.

The Mcdanel well went from ~$20/acre/month last fall to last months check for $3.33/acre/month(all after deductions). Aprils gas was sold for $1.36.

Granted the horizontal is about 1/2 as long as normal and production is almost 1/2 of others , but the unit acreage isn't 1200 either...and they have definitely been chocking the wells back, more on some months it appears. We just don't have the take away capacity to get a fair price. CHK needs money so they will sell. Ohh, and wait until you see the deductions they take.

So sad. Thieving b____rds.

Craig !   Oh My Gosh !!!   This is horrible!  With Chk. on my left and Range on my right.....I am signed with CHK. right now but hoping Range will kick in..... Only Hoping !!!   It does Not look good !   My lease  is not up until 8-5-16.  I thought things might change with the Cracker Plant.......   Maybe NOT ....... Pipelines are far away....  Thank you for your input !!!!   NOT..... Giving up on my hopes and prayers.....to say the least...... Interesting......   Jason..... Yes.... I feel like the Pon !

Almost not worth signing in the first place.

Is this a game they're playing? Landowners are pons. They'll manipulate the sales and then start to buy minerals from fed up landowners?

I sure hope pa attorney general Kane's two year investigation into deductions sides with landowners..

I was just checking out Beaver county recorder of deeds site . They (chesapeake) enlarged the Jenkins unit from 850 to 1200 acres. Filed on 6/25/2015 do not know if that is good or bad but now I am in as well as a few of neighboring landowners . From what I understand not too much monthly money from units yet but I was due for a renewal in 5 months.

CHK is covering their butts as cheap as possible and legal.

They have been letting a number of leases expire that appear to be mostly away from any current infrastructure. You are right there at a unit, so guess what?

They can change the unit size anytime they want for apparently any reason. Now they don't have to re-up your lease...Thus they just took away any new signing bonus money for you to re-up your lease which is typically what you were originally paid. Also, The original unit members will now have their royalties lowered with the added acres. Hehe, hope the neighbors take it well ;)

They know every dang trick in the book.

I'd like to know the reason for such a large addition, but i'll bet you will never find out.

Only possible good news would be that the only reason they could get away with it legally is in the short term +- 6 months or so they do drill another well. How else could the defend this action? I've seen them do questionable things but then 6 months or so later they do something else that qualifies their previous actions. I don't know....

But I do know that there are a fair number of royalty receivers in BC that are not happy campers when it comes to CHK.

I agree Craig. They grabbed up most of four large tracts of land heading towards the river as well as the small ones in the middle. Pretty sure all were about to expire soon . I have not noticed a new sign at the jenkins well as far as an additional well goes or any activity around here except for them fixing the gas line crossing on pine grove by doyle.

I assume the current jenkins well was drilled NorthWest? If so and they added the SSE area to the unit, then they will cover their butts by drilling the SSE leg next.

My sources still tell me that drilling is going to ramp up in the near future...

only time will tell.

Nope, Jenkins was drilled to SSE, leased a lot of of small properties to the NNW, most will expire around November.

That doesn't surprise me either. I am in a unit where the horizontal had to be stopped short. My property line is over 1400 feet from the end of the horizontal. I really shouldn't be in the unit as there is no way they are close to draining anything from under me. Other neighbors in the Unit are 5,000 from the end of the horizontal. How does that work legally?

Of course my lease was to expire 3 months after they started drilling. In all fairness (yes fairness, I can't believe I am being fair) to CHK, they originally thought they could sign my neighbor and drill another 3,000 ft horizontally as the first paperwork filed noted. They couldn't sign him and had to stop short before his property by 300 feet...it appears from the last paperwork they filed.
