Not quite full Ethane recovery but real close for Dec., Jan. and Feb. production. RRC's Presentation says $0.30- $0.40 (net) more for Ethane extraction. Their ATEX just added an additional 10 Mbbl/day. so currently shipping 35Mbbl/day (20Mbbl on ATEX and 15Mbbl on Mariner West). It may be more than that, but that's what is contracted for. Also have contracted for 20Mbbl Ethane and 20Mbbl Propane on Mariner East in 2015 (1st half ?) They may already be shipping that Propane.

Tim,

That all makes sense.  It cost 20 to 25 cents to ship the ethane so the ethane recovery should add about 20 cents to the per gallon sales price - but you knew that.  As a means to inform others who are following I like to spit out as much as I know.

My ethane rejection "Mcf for a barrel of NGL" is about 18Mcf for a barrel of NGL (ethane rejection).  This area is not as "wet" as your area.

Regards,

Phil

Thanks Tim!

Tim, Todd,

The two wells in my unit have been very consistent.  One is a bit longer than the other and it is producing a bit more than the other consistently.  In the first four months that they were working into a 150 psi gathering line they each averaged about 70 million cubic feet / month and about 155,000 gallons of NGLs.  I don't know if they are choked in any way.  The heaters are running loudly so maybe there is some choking going on.

Compared to Range wells in Washington County and wet Marcellus wells these are not great numbers.  However, for XTO and Rex wet Marcellus, Southern Butler County, PA wells (where I am) they are considered good wells.  Average length 3900 feet.

Many wells on the pads around me have had various start up problems while my unit has had no problems.

The adjacent unit - Hixon - is adding a Burkett well (Upper Devonian) to the existing Marcellus wells (+ a few more Marcellus wells).  There is room in my unit for 5 -6 more Marcellus wells.  By the time they come back here perhaps they will interdigitate Marcellus and Burkett wells.  Lots of XTO and Rex Burkett in my neighborhood along with the Marcellus of course.  Not Washington County but I feel pretty lucky.

Phil

Phil,

Thanks for all of that. I agree that you and Tim are very blessed. Hopefully, we will all be so blessed; I'll be waiting on pipeline for some time with good ole Chesapeake.

Good news is that the gas isn't going anywhere!

Also, thanks for the excellent Upper Devonian link that you posted on the main forum from NGI Daily.

Todd
