Understand your wish for a hearty recommendation, but a piece of advice ... understand what you're asking for.  Taking for granted an online recommendation as the ultimate endorsement can invite less than reliable  info.  Hopefully not on this site, but one can't be sure.

Get a copy of Penn State's pamphlet on Negotiating Pipeline and ROW Leasing. (Check @ local Extension Office.) Read through it to understand the whole picture ... easy reading ... then when you speak with an att'y you'll have an idea just how knowledgeable this person is, and if you want to continue the conversation.

Hello,  We live in Brighton Township, and are seeing activity in many place around us.  Is there a site that one can access to see if where wells are going to be drilled or a site that would inform us of how the parcels of land are divided?  We seem to be just out of reach and thus far, that means no royalties.  Thank you.

I recently found an article which covers some of the complex topics regarding land use policies. Even better, it is "reader friendly". If you would like to read it here is the link. http://shalestuff.com/fracking-2/attorneys-inform-marcellus/

I don't know anything about the Hanover Twp region, sorry. I'm not sure you are talking about the same pipeline or not, but MarkWest is putting in something like 50 miles of pipeline for Sunoco coming from the Cracker plant down S Pa and joining it with an existing line on the N side of the Ohio River.

Jerry, I know that chesapeake (CHK) just filed for a permit on the McRoberts farm in your area. If you know where the McRoberts farm is and you are in that rough area then it would be CHK, however they use Mason/Dixon for their landmen/women. I believe there are others leasing somewhere near your vicinity, but I don't know who that would be. If you approach them before they approach you they will feel that you  are ready to sign whatever crappy lease they present you with. Don't sign anything quickly, do your homework if you haven't already.

Seems weird that no one has approached you yet. Are you sure you own the gas rights under you?  Have any neighbors signed?
