Is Chesapeake approaching landowners directly, or is this through a negotiating group? I have 27.5 cares in Monaca (Center Township), south of the river. What/who is Mason/Dixon landman?

Chesapeake now has 1 approved well site and 3 others in the application process for our county, all in South Beaver Twp. I 'hear' (possible rumors) that there are a total of 6-7 well sites they are going to drill in Beaver County in the very near future. I believe ( but don't know) they are applying for the ability to put 6 wells on each pad. I suspect they will drill at least one well at each site to HBP the entire unit, or as much as possible, as a lot of these leases expire in the next 1yr or so. Things should be quite interesting in the near future.

Here's to Chesapeake finding really wet gas!

I had Chesapeake(Mason/Dixon landman) approach me for leasing 10 acres in Chippewa around the end of July. $200/acre, then a week later he came back with $600/acre. I told him i'd wait and would want a fair number of changes in the lease if I do sign.
