is this BRADFORD discussions? help with lyon and Schrumherst units needed.

That area is pretty well booked up.  However, Lyon and Schrumhearst, mid twp east, have

been declared. Some leases in Lyon had May 2014 exprations  but do have wells "capable" of commercial production, just not tired-in yet.  Anyone out there with insight?

Also, we assumed Circle Z started producing in tha fall, but no production was DEP reported pre yr end 2013.  Might anyone know if it is now in prod?

TIA

Aside, if you knw how to read completion reports/plat permit maps you can know which formtion is being targeting.

In SE Bradford all production is coming from the Marcellus, though there may be some exxperimentation going on with entry points, lower for sure an mamaybe upper.

Thermal maturity limits gas in place if it is too high. %Ro in the area is 2.9 to 3.4, high, heding to 4 it becomes CO2. As you drill deeper, %Ro rises and rises, perfect correlation, thus the Utica or nearby, much deeper, are not perspective.

Hope this post ends in the Bradford Slot.

shumhurst and lyons do not have wells capable of anything, they do not even have wellpads.

there are upper Marcellus wells for sure. production is very similar to lower.

regarding depth, you do know that the Utica is currently in production in tioga county? around 14,000feet. good results so far.

Was unaware but that is good news.  Could you kindly say in which quadrant of Tioga County this is happening.  Thanks

middlebury township. several other Utica wells are drilled also. the play does not affect Bradford county though, it runs from east central tioga to the northwest and possibly up into n.y. state.

you have a better chance of having viable upper Marcellus (oatka creek shale) than Utica in bradco.

Jim,

When you say strong results, can you quantify?

Also, you mention it heads northeast.  Seneca popped a well in South Central mckean, on the border of Elk in Sept, and had 8.5mmcf IP.  They were even impressed with it, but have other acreage to drill before they develop the area.  I have acreage in NW Potter that also contains Utica, but not sure of the exact dimensions of the fairway you speak of.  Can you define the borders more clearly.

the Utica well in middlebury is on the latest dep report, there were 43 days of production in 2013, relative to Marcellus wells in tioga, it was a good performer.

I'm sorry, but I'm not a geologist and cannot give you any more info than I already have, that's all I know for now.

my land is near Mansfield and is probably not in the Utica play in tioga, and that is as far as my current interest goes.
