Are any landowners out there selling water to oil companies for drilling and fracking operations in the Marcellus? I'm trying to find out what terms/prices people are getting. I know it may differ depending on location, but any information anyone is willing to share, regardless of location, would be helpful. Thanks.

Permalink Reply by Tug Steward on May 24, 2012 at 11:37pm You can't sell water in PA. You can sell access. Withdrawals are regulated and the most likely consistent source of water that can be permitted will be the river and larger order streams.
