Another Attorney taking advantage of us?
I got a letter from an attorney telling me he negotiated a deal for me. He said he got me $3325 and 18%.....OK, great right? Not so fast it turns out I would then have to pay him a fee which meant I would not get any more than with the standard Shell lease. But he is an Attorney so he must have some great addendums right? Again not so fast, I negotiated better lease and addendums on my own.....so why would I want to pay this guy and get less?
Anyone else get these letters? What are your thoughts especially when it looks like offers should be going up?

I think this is from clearfield energy lawer tim hale who was representing ABC group. He sent another e-mail the other day saying that Shell had recinded the offer. The offers will go up. There is still plenty of unleased land in Butler county. The wet gas is truely more valuable right now. Be patient and look for things to move higher in the new year. I will never pay any lawyer a percentage of bonus or royalty. The biggest scam i see going is the Shale Advice lawyers. I hear they are charging 5% of bonus and 1% royalty. If that is true they are really snake oil salesmen, no matter what services they say they can provide.
