Hi Everyone,
I live in Clearfield County also. I haven't received a permit letter. What areas are they looking at??

Hi Trey,

Yes, we have. So, I guess we just have to wait to hear now. It seems to be taking forever. Thanks very much for the help.

Hi Margaret,

Right now a company called CGGVeritas is sending out seismic research permits. They want to create a 3D model of the rock layers so that the gas companies can better see where the Marcellus shale is and where the fault lines are. The research is available to any company that wants to purchase it. I believe that once CGGVeritas gets the research done and gets the data to the gas companies, then they will start building the wells and pipelines. Have you received a permit letter yet?

Ok, we're inside the development near the powerline. We all received the letter from CGG Veritas as well.

I share Peter's perspective. Why "show your hand" for $5/acre? It does not seem worth the risk to me.

Bob, we have a hunting camp in that area... the Sandy runs through our camp.

james, I'd like more information on the landgroup you reference. Do you have a website?
