Comment by Joseph Hall on April 18, 2012 at 9:33pm Does"after fees" mean the 6% fee Rokisky charges?
Comment by Jim Gibson Tope Hill WV on April 18, 2012 at 8:55pm 17.5 % gross
Comment by Jim Gibson Tope Hill WV on April 18, 2012 at 8:55pm Rokisky with Chesapeake, $4230 after fees and 17.5 %
might be fair but not exciting!
Comment by elizabeth cook on April 18, 2012 at 4:11am I did call the Rokisky office yesterday and was told that, although I'm in this group, the deal with Chevron doesn't apply to me because it's only for the members with land in Hancock County, and I live in Brooke. So it seems that Rokisky isn't doing anything for the members in my county and I am seriously thinking about pulling out. It feels like I've wasted my time with Rokisky for a year and a half now. Not happy about this whole thing at all.
Comment by George Bailey on April 17, 2012 at 6:19pm The group meeting will be Wednesday, April 18th at 6:30 at Oak Glen Middle School.
Comment by George Bailey on April 17, 2012 at 6:11pm Elizabeth, call the Weirton office to make sure that you're email and numbers are correct. I had the same problem. They had the e-mail wrong. Since, I've gotten every update.
Comment by Joni Lowers on April 17, 2012 at 2:43pm They (Rokisky's office) are trying to notify all the group members = emailing/calling and spreading the word to members about the meeting tomorrow as fast as they can & by any means - they just finished negotiations for the lease late last evening and could not notify the group of a firm meeting date until they had concluded the lease negotiation process.
Comment by elizabeth cook on April 17, 2012 at 2:05pm Why is it that I have been a member of the Rokisky group for over a year and only find out about meetings or anything else by accident? Why isn't the whole group notified?
Comment by David Wilharm on April 17, 2012 at 8:55am The Rokisky Hancock County group will be meeting on Wednesday, April 18th at the new Oak Glen Middle School. We will go over the lease, addendum, and other supporting documents. If you are unable to attend the meeting, please contact our office as soon as possible at (304)748-3200 for an appointment.

Comment by George Bailey on April 16, 2012 at 6:49pm Here is the e-mail that came today:
Dear Group, At 5:30 p.m. we have come to terms with an acceptable lease. The meeting scheduled for tomorrow night will be moved to Wednesday night at Oak Glen Middle School. We will need the extra day to have copies of the lease, addendum and related documents to hand out. We will start calling all our members in the morning but if everyone would spread the word that would be terrific. If you are not already a member of the group, or you know someone who might like to join the group, there may be an opportunity to join the group. We will discuss this in further detail Wednesday night.

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
