Comment by Randall P King on May 23, 2012 at 11:24pm One last bit of info from my field trip today. I went by the courthouse today to check on my lease, and see if it had been assigned to anyone. Chk assigned about 190 pages of leases to Total in Harrison Co on May 4, 2012. I got through about 140 pages on the computer before they were closing, and didn't find my lease in those. I'll try to dig a little deeper next week if I find time.

Comment by Turkey Leg on May 22, 2012 at 11:01am I am not concerned about Chesapeake's financial problems. They have assets: our land. Our mineral rights are either valuable or they're not and the viability of the company that owns them right now are not any concern to me. If the mineral rights are valuable and Chesapeake can't do anything with them, they'll be sold to someone who CAN make money off them. I'm just glad we got our bonus before the you-know-what hit the fan.

Comment by porkchop on May 10, 2012 at 4:57pm Has anyone seen the article in The State Journal paper out of WV. There is a great article regarding de-ethanication. Also has a map that looks very good for Harrison County. Is the map wishful thinking? any input would be appreciated.

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
