I've read many reports where analysts question the economics of shale exploration, in face I know the analyst from PNC Wealth Management they mentioned.

I enjoyed the ignorance of the author half way through the article where frac water is referred to as "Toxic Waste"

There is some good info in the Beacon journal article today.  Chesapeake claims to develope as many as 12000 wells in eastern Ohio. It is good to hear about how promising the Utica is looking and the big companies coming int Ohio.   I did not realize wet gas was almost just as valuable as oil. Some good times might just be around the corner for us all !!

If anyone is interested, I started a Discussion on Water concerns.  There is lots to talk about.  It's the greatest environmental risk associated with this industry and the part that regulators are still trying to figure out.  You can link to it <here>.

NEXT MEETING OF HCOLG SCHEDULED.  We're having another informational meeting to explain the landowners group and talk about the current status of leasing in Ohio. Tell your neighbors. We will also
be discussing how we can network together as lease-holders as we move into the gas production phase. There will be an opportunity to ask questions, and landowners can join our group. If you have any questions contact Dan at [email protected]. Spread the word.  Note that we're having it on Friday this time instead of Saturday.

PLACE: Cadiz, Ohio, St. Teresa Activity Center, 143 E. South St.
DATE: Friday, June 17, 2011
TIME: 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
