I heard Devon is clearing a pad site NE of millersburg. A local excavating company here in Licking County is Devon's liaison for pad construction.

Comment by dan gladyszewski on May 16, 2012 at 9:38pm I'm in Ashland county, It's great to see competition in your area, it brings prices up, good luck to you all! I have friends that live ther, I'll try to get them on GMS.
I believe we have Anadarko and Devon making the 1st moves, as there are stakes along US62 east of Bunker Hill. stakes on TR606 west of CR186 ....CR77 north of SR241...Section 7 of Walnut Creek twp.
Watch ODNR site for the permits to appear, it looks like the leasee is getting the cart before the horse. Many affidavits, many files to read, many assignments to reconsider, ammendments are coming and one might ask ''what is the cost of a ammendment?''.......to each his own.
Comment by Miller on May 16, 2012 at 7:54am Can you tell us where the pad sites have been staked and by what company?
It is offical, we have a site for the Holmes county marketplace.
I know there are several folks out there wandering why Holmes has been slow to the game. Well guess what they are here now and in big fashion.
Enervest-Anadarko-Devon-Lario-Endeavor-Consol-Chesepeake-Chevron; they all know about this region and it looks like the oil is good, the rocks are good, the HBP is all over, but mostly owned by the lessor...rare but true, alot of homes and buildings in this area are serviced by landowner/mineral owner wells that draw from the clinton sands...there are 10,000 plus acrea on the eastern half ready to go to market. There are at least 4 potential pad sites already staked. Through the art of assignment and other transactions many small leasee's have given the big boys a quiet hold on this peaceful part of Ohio. The pace of life here may seem to be slow from the outsiders viewpoint, but in behind the scenes it is ready to drill.

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
