Looks Like they may be going to do something in Jefferson CO.. Orange Energy is trying to close up holes in leased properties to AEP-Great River. Looks like the Steu. & Cross Creek Twp Area. Hopefully a start for a drilling unit. Non leased and competition getting letters with self stamped envelope to respond to their request. Does anyone Know for sure if AEP bought Palloma III and will they notify the leasee's? Could we be their first hole?

Hi Terry,

We found out from the people at the Paloma office in St. Clairsville that they did indeed  flip there leases to AEP. Also involved were Hess and Exxon. All of a sudden AEP is one of the biggest lease holders in the state. From what I saw of the Paloma leases on the plat map they were ultimately going to have to join with someone to get units put together. Maybe this will expedite the whole process.

HI Mike,

Got a letter yesterday asking about my mineral ownership. The name on the letter is Frank Miller with AEP/Orange llp. How Do if I find out who they flipped me to. I don't Know if he overlooked that now I belong to AEP,or if Hess or Exxon owns me. Not very concerned just hope they'r trying to put a unit together. Neighbors who go letters own smaller tracts of land. Maybe AEP is ready to put his Bit in the dirt. Let me know if there is a map somewhere  to check out. Good to here from you Mike Thanks.

Hey Terry,

I haven't received anything through the mail, just going on what we were told by Paloma.

After talking to Paloma in St. C. we understood AEP bought leases from Hess, Exxon, and Paloma in Belmont, Monroe,Noble, and Jefferson Counties. I think Paloma leased all their ground in Jeff and Belmont counties but not sure if Hess and Exxon did..Paloma said they would like to lease more ground but it may be difficult as they are now considered flippers. Not sure where you fall but I know Hess had a nice parcel put together just west of us and I couldn't see any way a unit could be put together without it. This info came from a chesapeake plat so am assuming it's correct. Looks like someone may still have to work something out with them as they hold some pretty large acreage.

I think I've started rambling but hope some of the info helps.

Mike

Hi, guys!

John, when did Paloma tell you this? Did they say anything about particular townships?

Thanks!

Jett

Jett,

Last Wednesday and we just stopped by their office to see if they had any drilling plans or schedule  as we were at the St C courthouse anyway. Now these were the office people we talked with and not the people in the Texas office so am assuming they didn't have all the specifics of what is going on.. Didn't go into any details about townships or anything else as we got the feeling they really weren't sure of future plans but they have been very nice to talk with all along.

Mike

You might find info on this topic interesting. AEP is leasing rigs from CHP

Pinehell, that's very interesting news -  Maybe there'll be a permit for Jefferson County sometime soon - just have to wait and see!

Thanks for the answer, Mike!

Mike,

Got a letter today from Paloma saying I was sold on 1/15/2014 to American Energy-Utica,LLC an Affiliate of AEP. I have to sign a consent to assignment, You'll probably get one, it was in my lease to notify me.

Thanks guys at Paloma, its was nice while it lasted.

Later,

Terry

Hi Terry,

Got a letter from Paloma today and it said AEP did indeed purchase their leases. Have  to sign and return to finalize it so it can be recorded in the Jeff Co courthouse. Guess if I don't sign they'll want there money back. lol

Mike

Mike,

They would have to go to Obama to get the other half of mine.

lol
