Any recommendations of lawyers in Sullivan County or vicinity that know the ropes on this and have been through some of these lease negotiations?

Thanks for the information. I am suppose to hear from Chesapeake by Friday the 2nd. I went to the field office in Towanda last week and met with the head landsman. He offered similar information but said his man in the field would have to confirm it. He presented me with a Chesapeake hat and said it was nice to meet me!

Have heard from a landowner in Laporte that Chesapeake is contacting everyone that has not signed up and offering $5750 per acre with 20%

I own 50 acres at the top of the Rock Run road in Cherry Twp. On Sept. 1, 2009 I was offered $1,500 and 12 1/2%. Is there anyone you would recommend I speak with to keep up with the fast pace? Please keep in mind I am very new at this!

Bradford County is the hot spot. They are applying for permits in record numbers there as the wells have surpassed initial expectations,

Have you heard of the offers in Wyoming/Bradford ($5,750 acre-20%)
Lackawanna Co. $6,000/20%. We were just offered 3,000/20% in Cherry Twp. today. What started all this activity? Natural gas has jumped pretty good also ($3.77/ft)!

I'm located near Laporte - just curious as to what is going on locally...
