The guy I was working with from Chesapeake said they were pulling back offers for the time being. He said it was a quarterly thing and could also be to assess there position. He said they are still doing drill site leases in select areas. I suspect those wells will play into the extent of their continued interest in Tioga. I haven't spoken to any landmen form ERM, Williams, EQT or Talisman in quite a while. It seems like a complete stall in Tioga County.
I just spoke with the landman I was associated with last week
What company Judy? And, is he new or been around?

Thanks
East-Shell----he is the same landman that I have dealt with--I have nothing except good things to report with our relationship with East--so far they have done exactually as they have said they would--in fact, today they are paving or having it paved along the main road where they enter our property--every time I have had a question --my phone calls were always returned in a timely manner and my question answered
Friend of mine was approached recently. His property is in Chatam township.
Seems slow though doesn't it Scott? Are you a landman?
This is the third year I've been watching leasing activity. It gets really busy for a while, then dies down. Spring and fall seem to be the busiest times. Summer/fall of 2008, East was leasing everything in sight. Then late fall/winter of 2008, East was nowhere to be found; everyone thought they were closing up shop...that spring (2009) is when they defaulted on all those leases. Then they were aggressively leasing again. Now they are back drilling everywhere. It's hard for us to know just what the plan is.
Yes Lynn, just about the time you think things are nailed down these drilling compaines disappear. One land owner not far from me had made a deal with a driller, Don't know who, and though it was signed sealed, but not quite delivered. So he needed some new machinery and bought much of it "on time." He also proceeded to add on to his house. And then came a period of time when it seemed that his lease agreement was not going to be honored. I guess it turned out OK for him however.

That is counting your chickens sbefore they hatch. A little common sense tells people not to spend before you get it. Our well is drilled, it will be sometime next summer, (right now that is what they are telling us) until we will be hooked up. Good thing we didn't spend one dime. Sandy
Where are you located/drilled by.It would be nice if everyone at least let us know what state/county/township you are located.that is if you are willing.
we are located in Tioga Township, Tioga County.....having problems with rare bats, wetlands dept permits and now have to wait for compressor stations to be built. Sandy
We are in the Deerfield/Oceola area and have been talking to East/Shell the last three weeks.Same offer-$2000/15% as others have reported. We are also in the twin tiers group.
