Permalink Reply by MrBill on June 21, 2012 at 9:01am I live in West Farmington and just signed with Shale Investment Fund (3250.00 an acre and 17% gross royalties). They said they are a company working for Halcon and they have bought up all the shallow wells/clinton wells in my area. My land is surrounded by all of these old clinton wells so I figured this company will have the biggest interest in my mineral rights. I maybe could have gotten more money if I waited but really need it now so I signed. The lease seemed pretty straight forward and fair.
And with most things dealing with these very secretive oil companys and land flippers all you can do is hope most of what they tell you is the truth.
