Not sure Pinehill. There are actually 2 saltwater injection wells out on 250. One by Dennison Disposal LLC and the other well is being drilled by Mason Drilling. The one by Mason Drilling shows as drilled and the other one is showing permitted. These are both in Union Township, Tusc County Sections 26 and 32.

I thought that they could no longer drill new injections wells after the problems in Youngstown

Anyone here know anything about an injection well being drilled out on St RT. 250 going out of Urichsville? It would be close to where pleasant valley Rd SE is to 250 and little stillwater creek.

Maria, Thanks for the info. I am in Mill as well but not leased with Chesapeake. So not the same unit.  Good Luck to you.

Dott, I signed with Chesapeake.  It was in 2011.  I do not have any details on the pad just here say and I know where it is but I do not "know" the landowners and do not want to as they shot my dog several years before. You can email me.

Maria,

Can I ask the name of the driller (gas company) you signed with and the name of the pad that will be drilled? I am just wondering if I am part of your 600 acres unit. I inherited this lease from my mother so I was not involved in the actual negotiations.

Thanks for the info.  I will definately call Mr. White.  I went with the Ohio Valley Landowners Association and a legal team from Steubenville and Washington Pa.  There was a lot of people in the association.  We sent them back to the table at least 4 times after I joined and they had been sent back a few times before that to negotiate a better deal.  I am in Mill Twsp.

Maria.....it depends on your contract.

The pugh clause can be depth or acreage based.....Generally, not all of your 120 acres has to be included in a UNIT.  so yes......you may only get royalties on part of the 120 acres that are included in the UNIT.......depends on the configuration of the UNIT  as to how many acres of yours will be included.

Take the 1 hr fee consultation....it will be woth your time.

Dott - I agree with your sentiments. One thing (of dozens of insights) Attorney Chris While shared was how you can read and read all the protective, assuring "wherefores" in a good looking lease and they can ALL be sneakily wiped out later on in the contract by a carefully worded replacement clause that you and I may miss!  So the Agreement looks and reads really good, but some legalese jargon hidden in the back (usually) cancels the good stuff you thought you were getting! He says he keeps a running record, on a long note sheet next to the lease he's reviewing for clients, and as he goes down each line of the contract  he can go right back to his notations when he runs into one of those clever "change the meaning" phrases or even single words he knows to look out for! Sheesh! He has a sample contract he has refined over trial and experience and I read it over - not chiseled in stone but it sure beats everything else I've been handed.
