I spoke to a rep at SEOLA today. He said they are currently talking to O&G Co.'s about their property in Washington Co. This includes the Waterford area properties but MAY not include land south of there. A rough guestimate is that there may be an offer on the table in about a month. Just FYI and nothing firm or official.
I'm sure there is still time to join this group if you are interested.

Permalink Reply by Dee A on April 26, 2012 at 4:11pm I believe it's all the north east and eastern Washington Co. lands.

Permalink Reply by Dee A on April 26, 2012 at 5:30pm You're welcome.
Here's something else I forgot to mention. Once they have offers on the table to present, they will let property owners know via email or phone.
Permalink Reply by Angela Smith on April 28, 2012 at 10:49am So you are saying it includes the townships that border Monroe from east to west?
Permalink Reply by Dee A on April 28, 2012 at 3:19pm When I asked for clarification I was told was that this offer they are preparing includes all of the lands that owners have signed up with SEOLA in all of Washington Co., north and east, except maybe the areas south and southwest of Waterford. However, there are no guarantees or certainties at this point I'm sure. I don't know if anything is completely firm and didn't think to ask if the areas could change. I just don't want folks to get their hopes up or down based on what I write here.

Permalink Reply by Dee A on May 19, 2012 at 2:35pm SEOLA is having a meeting next week for Washington Co. members, (only members I think), next week. They will probably cover where they are in negotiations then. Who they are negotiating with I don't know. And whether members will be able to share that info I'm not sure about either.
If you are a SEOLA member you should have received an invitation, if not, you can use the link above and check their website. Details on the meeting are there.

Permalink Reply by Dee A on May 24, 2012 at 2:55pm No real news unfortunely. And they don't expect any news for probably a couple more months.

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
