Rice Energy Meeting

Is anyone planning on attending Rice Energy's meeting? The meeting is 6pm on Aug 7th at the Nottingham Township building. According to the Rice's representative, Rice's CEO, Toby Rice, will be making a big announcement to the area. Since I have not seen the flyer in the paper, I had the representative send me the flyer electronically (attached). What are your guys thoughts? Anyone know what the announcement is?

Thank you Dennis for the helpful insight. I am happy to hear about your pleasant experience with Rice.

I attended the meeting, and I have to say I was certainly surprised. Rice Energy is offering $6,000 per acre and an 18% gross royalty. They did however mention this offer is exclusive to the North Strabane, South Strabane, Nottingham, and the northern part of Somerset township. Rice Energy's CEO, Toby Rice, also took the time after his presentation to answer questions for upwards of a hour and a half. It is nice to finally see a company who cares to educate the landowners rather than saying "You have to sign".  

On my way out of the meeting, I picked up a lease packet with a Rice representative's card. The contact information given was for Corey at Rice Energy, his number is 724-255-5337. 

I think myself and my parents are going to see about setting up a meeting with Mr. Peck to further review the lease.
