Friday the 13th may be unlucky for some but, not for those leased to Wishgard who started paying Wood county, WV leases on Friday the 13th. They are paying them early. So to all those that have been spreading rumors that Wishgard does not pay. WISHGARD is paying Wood County WV .

How much is Wishgard offering as bonus money and royalties in wood county? I own 106 acres in southwestern wood county and have offers from Cabot oil and gas recently

I would prefer that you contact me directly at wa1@starband.net I think that information is not really to be revealed here in this forum. I can tell you it is the same for all our clients in Wood County and has been at that level since I started in November. We have remained constant!

I am not sure why the payments should be secret- they surely aren't in Ohio and Penn.   I have land in Ritchie co and of course I am interested in any details of leasing and drilling in WV.   Thanks for any shared info posted.

wishgard man called me at home and said they are offering 600.00 per acre and 15% dont believe his reason for not posting bonus and royalty payments on here. hope this helps you.

I am just trying to follow the rules of the site! It is not a secret, I was afraid that it would be  looked at as advetising and this is an informational site. That is why I do not dicuss figures here.

Thanks

Michael, what is Cabot offering?

800.00 per acre and 15% royalties

Thanks, That does help.

With Wood County sitting directly under Washington County ,Ohio and the hype starting to enter that county should we see Wood County starting to get some attention. Washington just signed for 3,000 and 18%.

Hello from Columbiana County Ohio. Having been raised in Wood County WV I thought I would provide some feedback. The signing bonuses and royalties in Columbiana County started low early in the lease phase, then peaked. The peak was due to several O&G companies bidding on large tracts of land put together by a Land Owners Group, the Associated Land Owners Of Ohio Valley (see their website at alov.us). Find the landowners groups in your area or start one or you will be limited to the lease contract offered by the O&G companies which are not land owner friendly. See an example of a good lease contract that is being used by the ALOV on the website above.

The amount paid will drop as land is leased, but there are landowners who are still holding out to see if the prices go up again similar to other shale plays that reached $25,000 per acre bonuses and 25% royalty which you can find in the Texas Barnett Shale Play.

As far as amounts paid, some of us signed a non-disclosure statement when we signed our leases, so I will not comment on amounts paid. The amount will depend on wheather you are in the oil, wet gas, or dry gas zone. Wet Gas is worth the most, oil is 2nd, and dry gas is the lowest.

Good luck with your leases, and remember, never sign anything without first consulting with a lawyer. He can tell you why you shouldn't sign the document, there are a lot of people who would like to share your potential wealth, and they will not be honest about how they get it.

Search my name on gomarcellusshale.com to see some of the topics I have commented on. It could help you in the future.  Ron Hale

My lease expired in Wood County without being paid by Wishguard. Their landman "guaranteed" it would be paid. Stay away and don't waste your time.

Yes your lease expired on short term(90 day OOP) on which title was not done yet

No one has ever from this office GUARANTED A PAY DATE.
