Landowners who own surface rights only need to be familiar with the following WV Code which protects them from damages during drilling, and provides compensation. Please tell a neighbor.  Thanks   Ron Hale

How about starting a sub folder for Brooke County.  There is alot of activity in this county starting up.  Lots of new wells and the water ROW from the ohio river to the PA line.

i recently have found out that i own the mineral rights on 17 ac. in wayne county west va. in genoa township. there is a pipeline that runs thru part of my land thats owned by a gas company. do any of you know about any o&g companies that are looking to lease gas rights in the area?? thank you for any information.

What would be the consequences if my surrounding neighbors sign a lease and I don't. Will they rob the gas from under my property if they drill and is that legal?

Jack-- I haven't heard of Chesapeake being in that county, but here's three that are:

Magnum
Drilling Appalachian Corp.
