Karen said… RE: "Slower O&G drilling Mahoning County"
My personal opinion is ...
The earthquakes, that were caused by the injection wells, stirred up way too much protest. So I think, CHPK is just waiting for some time to pass before more permits are filed and more drilling begins in Mahoning County. Maybe, CHPK has more landowner / lease issues in Mahoning county. CNX is drilling the Hendricks well.
Going by "Permits Issued", CHPK certainly favors the Columbiana County -> Carroll County -> Harrison County areas as their core acreage, as of today. This could all change as more wells are drilled and the production results are analyzed.
Mahoning County has a higher population density and smaller parcels than Col, Car & Har counties, which can slow down the permitting and drilling process.
I had health issues that haunted me for about 9 months.
Health issues now seemingly resolved, I have a major household project that could no longer be delayed.
So, I am racing to catch up with all that has piled up.
As Bart Simpson says "I'm a little behind."; but I hope to catch up over the next several months.

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
