During a congressional briefing this week Dr. Anthony Ingraffea offered his opinions on onshore natural gas development to an audience composed largely of congressional interns and environmental activists. Cornell staff made clear Ingraffea’s remarks were his own when they mentioned they weren’t reflective of the University. This is a list of parameter for wells outside the 1000 foot radius around a well and not along a horizontal leg. I do not agree with the standard 3-Tiered approach and I am providing this as an alternative.

Getting Your Water Tested – Why?
In Pennsylvania, there are no statewide regulations that truly guarantee that a private well is properly constructed and that the water from the well is potable, i.e., drinkable.
