The Delaware Riverkeeper is one of the most arrogant organizations imaginable and a little research demonstrates how it consistently talks out of both sides of its mouth, while chasing foundation money from anti-development special interests.

When it comes to sheer unadulterated gall it’s hard to top the hypocrisy and cynicism of the Delaware Riverkeeper, an elitist group of nannies funded by some of the wealthy foundations around, that spends its time and energy supposedly defending a river. Their website and blog include sophomoric lines suggesting “the River speaks to us everyday, in many ways” and claiming it “champions the rights of our communities” but a closer look at how the organization really operates demonstrates it’s just another empire-building special interest, one which thinks the Upper Delaware region should be emptied of its current residents to be available as a playground for its friends.
