The Shale Gas News, heard every Saturday at 10 AM on 94.3 FM and 1510 AM, talked about virtual pipelines, air quality, New York City and much more last week.

Every Saturday Rusty Fender and I host a morning radio show to discuss all things natural gas. This week, as a guest, we had Pennsylvania State Representative Rick Saccone, of the 39th Legislative District.

The Shale Gas News, typically, is broadcast live. On the August 5th show, we covered the following new territory:

  • Senate confirms two FERC commissioners, restoring its quorum. WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The U.S. Senate on Thursday confirmed Neil Chatterjee and Robert Powelson as members of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, restoring a quorum to the agency.
  • Gas pipeline on Rail-Trail will be put underground. The News recently took another inspection tour of the UGI gas pipe line project here with Lynn Conrad, Executive Director of the D&H Rail Trail, and Bob McGraw, vice president of Linde Corp., the pipeline contractor. Lynn wanted us to dispel a misconception that the pipeline will be above ground on the Trail. The 24- inch gas pipes are being assembled above ground and will be placed underground as the project proceeds.
