The Shale Gas News, heard every Saturday at 10 AM on 94.3 FM, 1510 AM and Sundays on YesFM, talked about road improvements, severance tax, paid agitators and much more last week.

The Shale Gas News has grown to THREE stations! We are now broadcasting with YesFM. YesFM will be airing the full 60 minute version of the program on Sunday mornings. YesFM broadcasts primarily in Sullivan and Bradford counties, with some ancillary coverage in neighboring counties and even over the border into New York.

Every Saturday Rusty Fender and I host a morning radio show to discuss all things natural gas. This week, as guests, we had Jim Cheunes, Gas & Oil Field Manager of Best Line Equipment and John Plowman, Executive Director of Hunters Sharing the Harvest.

The Shale Gas News, typically, is broadcast live. On the November 25th show (click above), we covered the following new territory (see news excerpts below):

  • Ohio Counties Have Received More Than $300 Million For Road Improvements From Utica Shale Operators. The Ohio Oil and Gas Association (OOGA) and Energy In Depth (EID) Ohio announce the findings of an analysis of road improvements made by Ohio’s oil and gas operators through the Road Usage Maintenance Agreement (RUMA), in its second report in The Utica Shale Local Support Series: Ohio’s Oil & Gas Industry Road Improvement Payments. In total, the upstream oil and natural gas industry has spent more than $300 million in eight Ohio counties from 2011 to the first quarter of 2017, and improved more than 630 miles of roads from these investments alone.
