Upstate New York has been changing, but not for the better, as state leaders have turned away from the best thing happening in a bid for “energy correctness.”

Come senators, congressmen
Please heed the call
Don’t stand in the doorway
Don’t block up the hall

Bob Dylan’s legendary call for an end to political delay now seems squarely aimed at Governor Andrew Cuomo. And, also at those who stood up for change during the 1960’s, but now stand in the way of the shale gas revolution in upstate New York. Why do they obstruct? Perhaps because cheap, plentiful natural gas is not the change they expected.
