Pennsylvania Landowner Alert - Gubernatorial Candidate McCord will fleece us if elected!

Democrat gubernatorial candidate Rob McCord has released his "Fair Deal" plan. For us it is anything but. It is a catastrophe!

Rob McCord's PA landowner kill shot

As we all know, many leases today are only partially drilled.  I'm in this situation myself.  "HBP drilling" has been ongoing here for several years.

Once the HPB drilling has played out, where will they drill and where will they lease next?  That's easy.  They will pursue the lowest cost option.  And when they do follow-on drilling here in Pennsylvania, WE get the royalties.

McCord's proposal, supposedly "fair" but far from it, would make us, it would make Pennsylvania, less competitive.  When we get drilled less, landowners collect less money in royalties, and unleased landowners are leased more slowly.

Why is McCord making this asinine proposal?  Well, first of all, the dude is a Democrat, and like most of them he never met a tax he didn't like.  Moreover, his proposal would shift much more tax money to the cities.  Right now, with the existing impact fee, we rural people benefit significantly.  What McCord is proposing is income redistribution, with his party's city constituents benefiting far out of proportion to the impact of drilling where they live.

I'd like to tell McCord in person what he can do with his insane proposal, as if there were not already enough income redistribution in this country.  But if I told him here and now, I'd be booted unceremoniously right off this forum.  So I'll suppress my desire and merely say a vote by any landowner for McCord is a vote for your own destruction.

Finally you make sense, Wolfe isn't any better neither is McCord, if they impose a severance tax the impact fee will be declared null and void due to wording in Act 13. The hogs are lining up at the trough for any drilling money rural landowners get in this election year and the future generations.

Yeah.  And all those filthy hogs have a large "D" stamped indelibly on their foreheads.

Lemmie tell you, that big "D" does not stand for "Dallas"!!

my prediction, by the time election day 2014 comes around the results of democrat rule in this country will have come to a disasterous head. bigger issue's at stake now then gas and oil. not that they aren't important, but the attack on America is starting to come to the low info American's attention. the dems won't survive this. I hope we do.

how interesting frank...remember, it was only a few months ago that you absolutely insisted that Corbett and yaw had to be defeated.

they just had to go you said.

what a difference a couple of months makes.

You are in error.  However, I realize my nuanced positions are too complex for a simple mind like yours to follow.  Suffice it to say I have always wanted to see Governor Corbett re-elected.

Launching into an off topic exposition of my past positions here might serve your purposes, but it would be of little benefit to others, nor would it be in their best interest.  The focus here needs to be on what I've written in the OP, and the threat exposed there . . . no thanks to you, I would note.

I'm well aware of your limitations, and I know nuanced politics is not your strong suit.  I've yet to discover, though, what is your strong suit;  with the obvious exception of hubris, of course.

Pop Pop Pop

Yaw and Corbett are trying to do what Obama said he was gonna do 6 years ago,get the infrastructure in place and ease the permitting to get the natural gas to market and make it available to all Pennsylvanians that wanted it.
