Not according to at least one of our local "experts":

".There are no operators planning to drill in Trumbull or Ashtabula counties.  Any activity that may occur or is rumored is not chacing the Utica PP.  Since there are a few wells online, there will always be cleanup activity with pipelines etc

It's just not going to work out to be economic currently.  I expect current leases to expire. If mineral owners were holding out for something better they missed get the free mailbox money "

Ok thank you!

If you are leased, better to take a wait and see position.  Periodically take the time for a drive through the country on the back roads watching for pipeline construction projects.

There are eight (8) producing Utica/Point Pleasant wells in Trumbull County presently.  Four (4) of these are BP America wells, API # 34155240660100 - Lennington 1H, API # 34155240680000 - Buckeye 1H, API # 34155240730000 - Zerovich 1H, and API # 34155240770000 - Jewett 1H.  There are two (2) wells for Brammer Engineering Inc, API # 34155240690100 - Morrison 1H - Producing, and API # 34155240700100 - Dunbar 1H - Drilled and Frac'd.  The Dunbar well is actually owned by BP America with Brammer acting as the general contractor handling the drilling.

Watch, download, and read the quarterly production reports.  Keep in mind the wells are being throttled way back so the production numbers being reported are much less than they could be.

Be watching for pipelines being installed over the next 1-2 years.  Once the pipeline infrastructure is installed then watch for the wells being drilled by BP or someone they flip the lease over to.

Alan,

It's interesting that you mention pipelines, the effort to obtain ROW's continues in Trumbull County. Are these companies doing it for practice ? Or are they looking to the future?

US,

I'm not sure, but it appears to be just a line to move product from local wells. It does not seem to be a major transmission line.

I find it curious that Halcon continues to obtain ROW while it's development efforts are in hibernation.

Just wondering what it means.

Thank you! Will be watching for pipelines going in.

I thought Brammer was just a contractor for BP.  Is Brammer instead a JV partner that might do its own wells?
