Were any of you in attendance at the meeting with KWGD on Monday at the PLCC. I was there and was totally surprised by the number of people in attendance. What were your thoughts about the meeting? I found it to be very informative.

Also... with this offer, a landowner can sign up & not be bound by anything until they sign the actual lease!  The only thing that not signing the initial KWGD commitment letter will do is to prevent KWGD from getting them on the list to generate a lease.  In which case, they would miss out on the Gulfport offer which expires in 2 weeks.  So, again... If anyone is on the fence, this would be a safeguard to get in on a good deal (in regards to the current market), even if there is "potentially" a better one "in the works" out there.  If the better offer actually works out, then you are not obligated to go through with the KWGD/Gulfport offer unless you have signed the Gulfport Agreement, or the actual lease itself.  This is a deal that is already in writing & has been signed by many pending title search & clear mineral/O&G rights.

We have an in-home meeting with Reps from Carrizo (from Lousiana) possibly next week.  We are in Guernsey County and have been offered $5,100 + 20% and they said we would be signing an Intent, then have to sign the Lease in two weeks.  Anything we should be aware of?  Thanks so much.

Kim,

I am not extremely familiar with Carrizo, so I can not say much about the company.  I do believe that they were the company that the Homeland Energy group signed with, so I believe that they picked up a fairly large chunk of acreage there.  If any of the Homeland group members are still active on the boards here, perhaps they could give you more details.  The price & royalty rate sounds fair in comparison to the current market.  I would just make certain that it is a gross royalty % versus a net.  Also, make sure any environmental or surface disturbance concerns are specifically addressed in the lease they present.  It seems that some companies like to revert back to the "boiler plate" lease when they are dealing with individuals rather than using the leases that groups have negotiated.  I am located in Guernsey Co. as well & just signed a lease about a month ago.  I am not certain how long you have been following the development, but if there are any specifics you would like to ask, feel free to contact me through inbox & I will share as much with you about my experience in the leasing process as I can.

Kim,

Do you have any contact information for Carrizo?  I'm in Guernsey and have not leased yet

Anybody heard anything since signing the lease with Gulf Port (Group 5)?   I guess no news is good news regarding the Title Search.  I was wondering if anyone knew when the "checks in the mail".

I've not heard anything other than Gulfport does have a presence in the records office.  I was hoping we might see some checks before Christmas, but I'm not thinking that will happen now.  They still have 72 days left to do the search.   I have yet to get a W-9 form either.  I figure they will have to send that out to those of us that were at the early part of the signing who did not sign a W-9, before they send us a check.

Talked to Nate by e mail yesterday. W-9's will be going out soon and they have not been notified by Gulfport yet as to anyones individual status.

I was hoping to see or hear something by at least Christmas as well.  But sounds like we may have to go with the assumption that no news is good news... at least for now.  The W-9's going out to those that did not get to sign them initially is a good thing though.

Not me.   I hope to get them before something crazy happens.   There's been so much bad press lately that I worry this thing could blow up.   I guess there are still around 30 days or so left before the 120 runs out.

Hey Nelson,  have you heard from anyone?

One of my cousins told me that he received his check a couple weeks before the new year rolled over.  He only had 2 or 4 acres I think.  He is the only one that I have heard of yet that has said that they have received anything & I am still in communication with a handful of people from the Gue. Co. group.  As far as I am aware, we are all in the same boat as you guys... Anxiously waiting!

Nothing here either !! The countdown continues,,,,,,

Nothing here either. I guess no news is better than bad news.
