Were any of you in attendance at the meeting with KWGD on Monday at the PLCC. I was there and was totally surprised by the number of people in attendance. What were your thoughts about the meeting? I found it to be very informative.

Hopefully the rest will follow soon. I would think by now they should have wrapped up the title work. According to the KWGD email, defects would have been revealed in the first 2 week of January.

I received a new lease in the mail on Saturday from KWGD that had to be signed and notarized again.  There was a typo in my original lease, my street name was wrong but we did a manual edit with the KWGD folks back in Oct, however Gulf Port wouldn't accept it.   The new/corrected lease was still dated Oct 27, 2011.   I got it notarized last night and dropped it off at the KWGD office today.

Looks like Gulfport will be using the entire 120 day period to issue checks per KWGD's email today.  They have to have 90% of the title work done I would think.  How much more could they get done in a week's time.  Sounds like FedEx will be busy on the 20th.

Dave,  who is sending out the emails from KWGD?   I'm part of Group 5 and I'm not getting any of the emails that folks have said they received.

Came from Bill Williams about 30 minutes ago

Last one came from the main man.

I just sent an email to Machele McBurney as I have not received any updates from the law firm at all. Not sure if they have my email address copied correctly or what. They do respond in a timely manner when I email them tho. Lets all hope for a mass mailing this week !

Now, here's a question to ponder. If you are certain of the answer let us know. Per the contract it simply says "120 days" which would in fact be the 20th of this mth. If they use "120 business days" it would take it into the 2nd week of April. Which will it be?? Also whats to say they decide they just don't want your acreage and don't pay you ?? Hate to put a negative spin on it but gotta be realistic too.

I don't have the contract with me but I believe that it is 120 days not 120 business days.  If they found a problem with your land records I'm sure they would have contacted you by now.

"120 days" not business days. Red, it is my understanding that gulfport is legally bound to take all land in the original group provided the individual has a clear title.

That was my understanding too. Friday & Monday will be alot of checks being delivered!

I sure hope so, been a longgggggggggggg time waitin'. Thanks guys!
